This week
To reiterate the message sent through email and within the HoY notice, we were extremely proud of our class this week with all the efforts in Dibba Camp. They were without a doubt - outstanding in terms of behaviour, attitude and politeness at all times. As 4G teachers it was a pleasure to work with the children.
We are collating the photographs of the trip as a year group and will be making a short video for you that we will publish next week for you. We will also be adding photographs to the blogs next week – we will send an email next week to update you.

Back in school
- While back at school we have continued our focus on time within Mathematics - the home learning this week reflects this. While, in English we looked at playscripts - Mrs. Quinn and our class developed posters to for display that highlight the features of playscripts and our guided reading sessions also provided the opportunity to look in depth at playscripts - then act them out!
- 4G are so enthused by our topic - this afternoon we looked at comparing climate and temperature in the UAE to the Amazon rainforest. We compared data sets and discussed reasons why climates change and the impact on land.
- In Science, we looked at photosynthesis...our class have a real thirst for knowledge in Science, guided by Mrs. Quinn who loves the subject! The question asked this week within the lab lesson was;
"Do plants need leaves to grow?'
Why not discuss this with your child...
Next week - an overview of core subjects.
Maths - Shape (2D shapes, coordinates and plotting polygons)
English - Playscripts
Science - Investigating the way in which water is transported within plants.

Star of the week
This week our star of the week award is awarded to Anushka. Mrs. Quinn and I also teach Anushka for Maths...this week, she has really impressed us with her attitude towards solving 'time problems'. She has worked hard to tell the time efficiently and has shown real progress in answering time based problems.
