This week
This week in 4G we have been engaged in art and being creative throughout. I would normally take the opportunity to share the photographs of artwork that the children have carefully created, however, with Arts Festival following the break I will not....why? The unveiling of the art will be all the more special during our open evening in January!
Within English, we have continued to look at Dilemmas and next week will continue the story of 'Sams Duck' where our class will write their own ending to the story with a dilemma.
Within Maths, our focus has shifted to measurement - children converted between cm/mm/meters and focused on area and perimeter.

Party Next Week
On Sunday - letters will be sent home regarding party day. In all honesty, the letters (all filled in) are on my desk!
Thursday 18th December is our Party Day at JPS; we are celebrating the day by wearing non-uniform and bringing in ‘party food’ to share. The children will be involved in fun activities to celebrate the end of a great term’s work.
The children will be playing party games and team activities with the Year 4 teachers

- Wear non–uniform
- Bring a plate of food to share (as requested on the letter). So as we do not have too much food left over, please make sure you only bring enough food for up to 6-10 children.
Message from Miss. Keeling
Dear Parents,
As you are probably aware, we are preparing for Arts Festival at the moment. Our theme is ‘The Rainforest’ and we would like to transform the corridor so it feels like we’re deep in the jungle. In order for us to do this we need lots of fake flowers, plastic vines etc.
Please could you send in one of the following:
· An exotic looking fake flower
· Fake vines or climbers
· Fake moss
These can be purchased at Lulu’s, Diaso, Day to Day, Home Centre and many other places. Please do go and spend lots of money; one flower for 7dhs will do!
On another note, please let your teacher know if you are available next week and would like to come in and help with painting etc.
