This weekIt has become very apparent that each week in 4G is a excellent week. Our class are working so hard to impress and progress in their learning - Mrs. Quinn and I are so very proud of the efforts of 4G. Earlier this week we had a visit from Mrs. Rather, a newspaper editor, who talked to the class about the importance of redrafting and editing pieces of work. Our class up levelled the explanation texts written last week and made improvements. Having Mrs. Rather explain from the perspective of employment was so useful - thank you! In Maths, division continued and fractions (see the home leaning for further information and explanation). Our topic has very really rather interesting with the children evaluating artwork and also researching impacts of earthquakes around the world. The evaluations were particularly impressive, the children were like mini art critics! |
Next Week
"Next week, we will be continuing with fractions with Mathematics within Year 4 classes. Within English, we will be moving on the study the theme of "Stories with Dilemmas" - which has always proved an enjoyable topic to teach and one that 4G will certainly enjoy
In preparation, maybe you could discuss the term "Dilemma" with your child? Sharing dilemmas that occur in life - real life examples that happen will help put the topic into perspective outside of the examples provided through stories.
Within our topic, our focus will shift to looking at case studies of earthquakes and volcanoes. Mapping skills will be a focus..." Mrs. Quinn.
