This week we have been continuing our topic in English of recount by looking at Newspaper articles - we have been writing our very own newspaper articles based upon nursery rhymes. In preparation for next week, where we will be writing diary entries - it would be wonderful if as parents you could support by looking through the vocab - sentence starters to support with writing. The varied sentence starters will enrich the writing and be the focus next week...

Do you have any old phones, 'floppy discs' or inventions from the past (huge laptops etc) that you would not mind sending to school with your child to share with our class? It would be good if the children could bring items in as a 'show and tell' moment that we could discuss at the start/end of the school day. Thank you.
CAT Information Evening
As highlighted in a letter to parents on Monday 13th April, children in Year 4 will be sitting CATs on the week beginning 3rd May. We would like to invite you to a session, where we will share more information about these assessments, as well as key information regarding secondary school application. We understand that this may seem a little early for some, but we strongly advise you to come along.
The information evening will take place on Monday 27th April 2015, 6:30pm, JPS Main Hall.

Discoveries and inventions that have changed the world and improved the lives of people are now being displayed at the Nobel Museum exhibition, which has brought to life the achievements of Nobel Laureates in physics, chemistry, physiology, medicine, literature and peace.
The travelling museum organised by the Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation (MBRF) was inaugurated on Sunday and aims to shed light on ‘Ideas Changing the World’ — a theme that is meant to inspire intellectuals and students to contribute to making a difference and helping humanity face future challenges.
Running from March 29 to April 30 at the Burj Khalifa Annex, the museum, which has been brought to the region for the first time, highlights the prestigious position of the Nobel Prize in honouring outstanding individuals who have shaped the transformation of the world.
