Learning this week
English has been very impressive in 4A this week. Our class have shown real progress. We have studied 'Information Texts'. As a year group we looked at the features of information texts and in depth at paragraph structure. We were able to break down paragraphs into; opening statements, detail and closing statement. Alongside this, we worked on our use of connectives to link sentences.
Within Maths, as you will see from this weeks Home Learning, we have been recapping multiplication and addition. We have studied the grid method to multiply numbers (for example, 42 x 36). The video below explains the method we have used - it even extends to three digit numbers x two digit numbers.

Music celebrations next week- Monday 2nd March 2015
Next Monday, Year 4 will have a 'Celebration of Music'. Parents are invited to view the performance that will take place at promptly 8 am within the main hall. Please be seated by 7.45 am. The Music team look forward to welcoming parents next week to view the celebration.
