English
In English this week we continued with our learning about writing recounts. We wrote a recount about our journeys to school - but it had a twist! We had to imagine we were caught in a tremendous thunder storm and use lots of descriptive vocabulary to describe what the scene was like.
Next week we will be continuing this theme by writing newspaper articles.
Topic
In topic this week we have been learning about the invention of the printing press we experimented with making prints if our own using a variety of materials including fruits and vegetables, sponges and wallpaper. Take a look at the results!
Science
In science this week we have been developing our investigation skills by creating some investigations of our own. We each created a soda straw rocket and tested them in the playground to see who's flew the furthest. Then we had to design an investigation to test how we could make our rocket fly further.
