English
This week in English we have been looking at performance poetry. We have been reading a poem by Brian Moses called walking with my iguana and identifying the rhyme and rhythm in this poem. Then we decided what makes a good performance and created a performance of our own. Ask us to share our performances with you at home!
Topic
In topic this week we continued to learn about inventions that have changed the world. We have been looking at a 1960's house and the technology that could be found in the home at that time. We then compared that technology with 21st century inventions. We couldn't believe our eyes!
Science
In science this week we have been developing our investigation skills by analysing the results of our rocket investigations. We have drawn conclusions explaining them using our scientific knowledge and understanding.
We then went to the lab to carry out an interesting investigation with milk, soap and food colouring. Look at the results when you mix these things together!
Polite notices
We are seeing an increasing number of children arriving late to school. Please be advised that school starts at 7:30 and all children should be present at this time.
With the temperature slowly rising here in the desert it is very important that all children have their hats and water bottles in school every day. The children may now choose warm indoor play but hats must be in school for outdoor play and PE lessons.
